Had an old Chevy truck with rusted out floorboards. Used an old stop sign to patch the floor. Smiled everytime I looked down. Before that, drove to many states in a sleeping bag before I fixed the floor. Where there's a will, there's a way. Sarge

Keep smacking it. Really, those Chevy blowers are notorious for that. When the motor is on its way out you can usually get it to start by kicking it, and get by that way for quite awhile if necessary. On my 2000 Chevy I've had to whack it 2 or 3 times in the last year. Then it lasts for months.. My little brother kept his 95 Chevy blower going that way for years, until he finally broke the cover from kicking it so much. Lol don't do that.

I had a similar issue with a Mustang when I was a kid. I solved it by removing the hood. Had to put a bucket over the carb on rainy days.

Eh...wot?

The blower is under the round part and most likely has three screws from underneath holding it up in there. I don't have one for a 2000 Blazer. Sorry, I only date back to the 02 Dodge Dakota and on. If you busted the plastic housing it'll just be an air leak. Put some gorilla tape over it. If you leave it open you wont get as much air out of your ducts.

It most likely looks like this. Make sure someoen didn't kick those wires and pull them out or something but that is most likely where you tested voltage at.

Heater boxes on those were common to rust out. Best practice was to replace the heater boxes every 18 months.

VWs never had much heat anyway. To work on the engine it was best just to pull it out of the vehicle, access was horrible. But they did run......jk

my cousins car when we were in high school a dodge colt 4 of us would pile in after wrestling practice so the heat part didn't matter but it was the passengers job to keep wiping the inside of the windshield the gas tank strap had rusted through so it had a 2x4 and several wraps of fencing wire to hold that side on

Bringing back the memories!!! I could haul half the starting lineup and equip of the wrestling team to a week of summer camp in my '65 Dodge Polara in 1972/73!!!!

If its like the Envoy, the blower motor is in below the glove box on the passenger side. If you ran the blower on the highest setting it melts that wire in the connector in the plug. I changed a couple of those on an envoy I had. Plug can be changed without pulling any dash apart except for the kick panel. If you can get to the connector pull it apart and jumper the hot wire to one of the other terminals to get the fan to blow.

You could still drive with your windows rolled up. Don't you have a decent ice scraper? I know it can be done because I've been caught in the identical predicament. grin

I had a 65 super beetle that the rocker panels had rusted out. No heat at all. I carried a can of spray deicer for the inside. My girlfriend at the time was not impressed.

The simple fix would be to hold your breath while you are driving. smile

Or breath through a hose out a cracked window and leave the windows up.

Ah yes! Hitler's revenge-the VW Beeltle. A friend had one in high school and we spent as much time pushing it as we did driving. It was the automatic stick shift-shift gears with no clutch.
