Waiting for a Rush 2.0, I'll bet it won't take long. I doubt that there will ever be another Rush. Can't replace him but I do hope they keep the radio program going under his name with the same guest hosts who filled in for Rush over the years. Same bumper music.

From his Cape Girardeau heritage to the Golden EIB microphone it was ALWAYS a pleasure and insightful to listen to Mr. Snerdley's partner. Donna and I will both miss his radio program. A lot.
Russ was simply a premier, one of a kind marvel in his radio broadcast industry. Class act. Intelegencia on display. And what a wit!
As the old pass away, we pray the young will be up to the task at hand. Russ sure was and then some.
Blessings, Mark

There will never be another one.
Rush is to talk radio what Tom Brady is to football.

I listened to Rush 30 or so years back. I liked what he was saying, but, soon got fed up with his sarcastic, narcissistic blowhard delivery.
Well, over the years something changed. I don't know if it was his delivery, or my perception. In the last few years I became a steady listener, and really appreciate those very same things except now they show up clearly as his sense of humor.

They definitely attracted mine. I miss the days of caller abortions, daily updates and bungee condom "ads". He was a riot in the early days but never strayed from his core mission of getting the message out. My favorite update was his world peace updates.

I think part of that was just a persona to aggravate the left. Kind of throwing it back in their faces. After all, who thinks they’re smarter than a leftist?
