50 rounds of Fiocci .223 w/40 gr polymer tip shells for $32.99? They have had a bunch at our local Scheels store lately.

$23.00 / 50 rounds, last year, so with the present situation, I'd go for it, Brian.
Doubt you'll find anything cheaper, or at all, for that matter.

We had FMJ here, Frontier Hornady, for $0.55 last week. I passed on that, too. Mebbe, I should pick some up, but I have 2,000 55gr SP bullets, primers and powder. Currently, I can load what I have for about $0.20/rd. So, do I buy loaded ammo or start using my supplies and hope prices go down?

Cabelas had a couple 150 round boxes of win 556 fmj for $125 but only being sold with new gun purchase. Local shop had same box for $150.

no I would by 100 for 66 if it was ammo that worked in my gun ( I think Scheel's is a 2 box limit)
66 cents a round for 223 hunting ammo is not bad and considering the current supply
probably best in a slower twist barrel

I just loaded 100 rounds of 223 with 55 grain V Max. I am trading for some split board stretchers. I bought the bullets primers and powder. I got several hundred pieces of brass as part of the trade. Including 45 once fired .40 caliber blazer pistol brass. I don't have a 40. I am willing to trade them. A couple quart jars of the abdomen fat from spoonbill would work. Rat glands, beaver castor, I am open to suggestions.

probably best in a slower twist barrel Both of the rifles I have are 1:8 twist. Might have to try a box of 40 gr and see what they do. I'm sure they will, at least, scare whatever is downrange. LOL
