I’m gonna hit a lake saturday which is pretty well known for walleye fishing, problem is we have very few lakes with walleye in them at all around here so i never target them. I was hoping i could get some tips on how some of you guys locate walleye on new lakes that you haven’t fished. Also what depths do walleye generally hang out in during mid winter? I do have a flasher and a lake map so that will help but i really have no idea where to start.

Lots of info on line. Check out Tom Boley on YouTube. He has some great videos on the topic

Depending on the bait source and structure I typically target brake lines or good drop offs

I have a few friends who guide and call them for info. More reliable than info from the local bait shops.
