I would like to understand how he got under there. Outhouses here are a solid wood structure set over a hole dug down four to six feet. There's no way a bear could get in there.
I imagine there's no dug hole in Alaskan outhouses due to permafrost? Anyone care to educate me?
Eh...wot?

Why did the lyrics, "there's a bad moon rising, there's a bathroom on the right" just pop into my head. LOL Oh man ! That is outstanding!! One spring visiting a friend ...... We heard his wife scream. Ran out to help just as she flew out of the outhouse. Really deep hole ! Probably 15 feet. We look in and see two red fox kits at the bottom of the hole. We fished them out with a pole and a loop and turned them loose ! Not quite prime !

My folks lived two years on the border of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. When I visited them and used their outhouse every time something dropped you heard the skittering around of hundreds of huge cockroaches. I guess better than the roar of an upset ursid.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Wait, outhouses are still a thing? I had to have a soil scientist come out and engineer mine. Seriously.
