Leviticus claims in chapter 11, without proof, that the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron:
Quote
9 ‘These you may eat of all that are in the water: whatever in the water has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers—that you may eat.
10 But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are [d]an abomination to you.
11 They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination.
12 Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales—that shall be an abomination to you.

Only crab legs worth wrestling with are the real Alaska Kings,,that are over a pound a piece. The chunks of meat are like yanking a whole hot dog out of them.

Scallops, Lobster, Rock fish all better than halibut or king crab to me. We can put out subsistence pots for king crab here but I haven't done it for years. King Salmon or fresh reds are mighty good eats also.

I have been ordering the 20 Lb boxes of Red crab out of Nome. They are bit smaller Kings but nice and sweet. The prices are much better than most places too. I tried order a box last week but they were on hold due to a price increase.

Yukon King salmon melts in your mouth like butter, It was selling for $85 a lb in Seattle the last time it was available. Black Cod and Tom cod are my favorites too.

Yukon River King with chipotle raspberry BBQ is great, love any kind of shrimp, fried gulf mullet from a sand bottom, any kind of grouper or rockfish, swordfish, etc... but triple tail is tops for me.

Halibut that I catch and king, silver, and sockeye salmon. I like the shrimp and crab also but don't get them as often. I'm landlocked though.
