I tried watching season 2 next generations, What a bunch of fake tv, they drove me nuts and couldn’t stand watching them try and make firewood with a handsaw X2 and I refuse to be politically correct. I see no problem with you and your wife calling each other different names. Isn't calling out Banchee about this make those that do it SJW or Snowflakes. JMO

i agree with adc topic got off course with me call ing lizbeth my old lady i only wanted to know how the people on the show got their land We've probably all known married couples who are truly a wonderful man & wife, and with all love and affection, he calls her, "my old lady." My granddad did and my granddad woulda taken bullets head on for my grandmother. It's all the deliver. All in the delivery. Sorta like those LA boys introducing their wives as my "Coon_ss wife." First time I heard it, I said, "Say what?" I learned it's an endearing term. Endearing as in - I love my wife.Actions don't just speak louder than words banshee. Actions are your words. If your old lady likes you calling her that, then your actions have let her know what those words mean to her... and she no doubt considers them a badge of your love. Good for you brother Blessings to you and the Mrs. known as your loving old lady. Mark

Chip Hailstone is really the dudes name? Sounds like a news anchor...."Chip Hailstone, NBC news!" Chip is on T-man and has been since before the show. Should read some of his posts....

For native people on native land or in villages, I have no idea how they get to live and operate where they live. For everybody, including natives, on regular land, you can buy existing private parcels, many that go back to Federal homesteading days. The State over the years has had homesteading and recreational remote property sales. Some you Stake and have surveyed, some you had to prove up on, some just buy already surveyed, some are resales as the original buyer defaulted or did not prove up. Another thing that is done is care taking a mining claim. Squatting did and still may occur. There are also several State land long term lease options.
Not a simple answer.

What the heck does what he call his old lady have to do with how people secure the property to build on in the wilds of Canada and Alaska? Democrats stand right out and are easily offended by other folks' bidness.

Dept. of War is another affectionate term for the ol' lady. That’s darn funny! True also.

It seems respectful with the "lady" and then a word in a temporal sense designating the lady's age = old = old lady. I'll try in with Donna. " HEY, what'd ya whack me afor?"Didn't work.
