Hopefully I get it back soon. It's definitely affecting my eating, don't have much appetite when you have no taste or smell. I could see a person loosing a lot of weight because of the lack of taste. I'll keep you guys posted. Has anyone tried the burnt orange trick?

Something worth trying for those that are interested is increasing your intake of zinc. I'm told thatlow zinc has been associated with loss of smell and taste

I have a cousin that hasn’t had her senses for the last 10 months. Really hoping mine doesn’t last that long!! I spend a lot of time in the woods and can smell a lot of things some people can’t or either don’t recognize. I’ve smelled deer and hogs long before I saw them. I’ve smelled snakes before spotting them or getting struck at. I consider this a safety hazard, lol! I’m missing that caught fox, coyote, or even cat smell!! I’ve had to be very careful putting out lure too.

I think I had it a year ago Christmas. I was really sick. No loss of taste or small though. 3 1/2 years ago for my lymphoma I had chemo where I lost my taste & smell. Wife says I still don't have it all back.
First covid shot last week. No issues.

I don't know exactly when I had Covid. The antibodies are present so i had it fairly recently. I never suffered a diminution of taste or smell. Sounds like i got lucky.

I don’t remember exactly but I think it was at least 60 days. Mine came back gradually with some days being better than others. I do understand what your saying, COVID-19 is not a good weight loss program. I forced myself to eat because I knew I had to.
Wish you the best!!

Hey RM, how are ya feeling otherwise? Hit me pretty hard the beginning of the week. Felt like I had been hit by a train. Tested positive on Wednesday and lost taste and smell on Saturday. Body aches and fever are mostly gone but sinus issues are horrible. Hope you and everyone else with this stuff feels much better.

Dan I'm on day 6 and feel pretty dang bad, I went all day yesterday without a fever and felt pretty good but today has been rough. Constant headache, eyes feel like they are on fire and of course can't smell or taste. I'm 38 yr old so hopefully I can whip this thing out pretty soon but I definitely wouldn't wish it on anyone

Well I'm on day 9 of having symptoms and day 4 with no taste or smell. But I stuck my nose in some Backbreaker this afternoon and could smell a faint sniff of castor. Still feeling pretty rough, achy and no energy. Hopefully I will start feeling better soon

Best of luck to ya. Day 8 here and in the same boat. What's odd is after a couple days of feelin better, you get knocked down again. Not fun.

Day 26: Was able to workout at the gym and put 2 miles on the treadmill without getting a splitting headache tonight. Taste is distorted, smell is still gone. Getting back to my normal self, I think.

Wifey got her second shot yesterday and is worse than when she had Covid. Fever of 103, swollen lymph nodes, arm so sore she can’t touch it or lay on that side. I tried to warn her...

Day 22....my smell and taste is back to a level about like it gets when I have a mild cold or sinus congestion.....its only slightly muted. Wife is still not tasting or smelling much.

I still have a dang lingering cough, especially when talking a lot....so that is keeping me quieter...lol

Well at least we got that going for us Swamp Wolf. I had the cough hang around for a while but then I also never pass up a good cigar so that might not have helped much. Glad your on the mend (and don't work in the piney woods of E Tx) grin
