cats legally fall under "and any other unprotected species not listed" could also fall under invasive species but any other unprotected works they are the same as a pole cat

They're considered domestic animals in most states and as such are not covered by wildlife laws.

Send them some Marty Sennaker versions from Canada. They won't get out of those.

Using rubber jawed traps are someone's idea of catch and PET them! Another gimmick to cost more money.

Then the rubber comes of and "You can't use those:"! BS

Right now you won't be doing anything in Australia, you can't get in the country. The way I understand it the people that live there can't cross the territorial lines unless it's business related and you have to show papers at the line to prove it. Otherwise you aren't allowed to cross. Also gun laws aren't what we are used to. Before covid we had some Australians visit us every year and shooting pistols and any semi auto rifle was always very popular time. They are great people.

I would be more prone to trap the areas of the US that offer bounties on nutria and beaver.

Bing or google search it.

Iowa,
Better rethink some of your gear, most doggers are targeting feral dogs or dog dingo crosses. Some of them weighing in at 80 kilo. Jake's and 750's are popular.

80 kilo if my math is right is 160+ lbs. That's in the big wolf class of critters. Over here folks use reinforced #5 and up sized traps for critters of that size.

If you're looking for something to trap and make money on, I recommend trapping pigeons and house mice. There is always a good market for both and no restrictions in most states. I can sell about as many as both as I can get.

If one were to start early morning and shoot until the afternoon, one would be wise to pick a specific time of year to go over there. Summer temperatures are brutal. BTW, don't look at the calendar to figure out when Summer is down there.

They do some shooting and they do some poison work. Very little use of traps for the guys I spoke with. They do a lot of snaring with some crappy gear! (See photo)

I was able to send one guy some better coyote snares from here in AK. He said he had a lot better luck than he did with the typical Aussie crap!

Here is a picture of a typical government dingo snare...

I’d like to get a few of those locks for my collection. First I’ve ever seen that one

They are listed as incidentals in my reports for pay and discussed prior to trapping. Haven’t had the first manager or owner tell me to release them. They also have to trust me as I don’t take pics of incidentals.

I did have a landowner send me a pic off his trail cam of a pack. The next week I sent him the pic back with a red circle with a line through it on everyone of them but one. He didn’t respond right away, and I started getting worried and checking my notes on what we discussed, then he sent back that pic was worth a $100 bonus, lol.
