My cousin sent me a picture of a coyote he shot with his 300 prc...

It didn't run or kick. No suprises it's not fur friendly. Ther is just a red hole where the shoulder is supposed to be. Probably about the size of a mini basketball. The doe he shot at 300 yards last season was about the same. I think he shouldn't shoot anything under elk with it and even then it's over kill.

But like me when he gets a new toy it's a must to try it out on the available game we have.

I thought my 260, 7mm08, and 243 were over kill on coyotes but like not having spinners and flippers like I often get with a 223.

That 300 prc is like a lazer very little wind drift and hits like a hammer.

Now I will go over to the wilderness forum and read about moose, wolf, and caribou hunting with a 223 and 22mag.
