bleeohio OP Unregistered B	Cooper tire here in nw Ohio (Findlay) just told their workers today that they've been bought out by Goodyear. For all of you stock watchers, it may be a good time to bail or buy. Dunno. I have a lot of friends that have worked there since high school that are worried saying Goodyear has plants already shut down?

Companies in similar lines of business can combine operations and eliminate the expenses where their operations overlap. Reducing overhead and making the combined entity more profitable. 3. Eliminates some competition and thus increases market share for the remaining entity. I suspect they will still make the same named brands that were available before. Goodyear has been losing a lot of money for a while but Cooper has been earning money . It makes sense that GT would want to buy CTB in an attempt to turn things around Mean As Nails
