Newhouse has the dog tip cut the other way does H and N do that the same way also.

Put it on the trap collector forum. Maybe someone like snakecollector or Diggerdale will chime in, or others. They both might know where to find parts if it is possible.

I think you would be better of using the parts from your trap to fix up another #48. Time and cost to repair yours would be more than the end product...

Weld the cross back together.. Won't hurt it none at this point.... It will make a good wall hanger or even a user.

Might be my eyes but it looks like that may be a Triumph chain on that trap. Links look a little short.

If you can't find vintage parts,Livestock Protection Company should have new parts,like springs.Not cheap though.I agree,get the cross frame welded
