You would request a MTR. You can request it from the supplier selling it, if not already included in the box.

There are lots of different grades of aluminum just like there are lots of different grades of steel.

These are metal ties use with aluminum concrete forms. I've always heard to invest in what you know....We'll I have a lead on this one. There is a shortage on these. The manufactures cannot make them because....The steelmakers cannot make the steel because.....They cannot get the type of metal needed to go into them. If somebody smarter than me can figure this out, it may be a good stock market investment.

That would be my guess also. The 2 salesman I talked to said there's some type of Aluminum that goes into them. Weather that's accurate information or not I don't know

No, that wouldn't be accurate. Aluminum will not combine with steel. You can coat steel with aluminum, as in aluminized exhaust tubing, but not as an alloy. The ties also could be a stainless alloy, as you get a reaction between steel and aluminum, but that may not be a problem in this case, as they are not in contact very long together.

They are mild steel, with assorted thickness for different tensile strengths for building codes on what's being built.
They are zinc coated as well not aluminized coated.

You don't need to pay for a MTR, all you have to do is look them up on the net and find the cert's on them !

IMO, you are not on the right track if you want to make wise investments with any extra cash you may have. Building wealth takes time. Get rich quick schemes are very effective at separating fools from their money.

Have to be some kind of steel, because they snap very easy when breaking off ties. Are the holes round and put a bullet looking pin and drop a wedge through it?

This book is the most influential investment and money book I have ever read, bar none. The Richest Man In Babylon by George S Clason :-)

I haven't gotten any more info on this, It must be the zinc . Probably a glitch in the supply chain. I bought any ties that were available in Indiana and some in Wisconsin.
