Down in Texas. I was catching the weather report this morning and they were saying the second largest producer of Grapefruits was wiped out. Had a couple other orange growers saying it wasn’t looking good but they were trying to maintain hope.

A reminder anything can happen.

Didn’t hear anything about peaches, they showed a clip for weather purposes. The ruined orchards weren’t really the story.

Local fruit growers here have orchards in Texas also, they lost all the peaches and apples. Most of western Colorado will be fruitless this season also from an October freeze.

Citrus has always been subject to this. Theres a town just north of Mobile named Satsuma due to the extensive groves of Satsuma mandarins once grown there. That is until a freeze event like this took them out. In the past decade or so the citrus industry has returned to the gulf coast with the advent of greening disease in Florida. The idea being to seek out non infected areas. Both south Georgia and Alabama now have a small but growing citrus industry. It's only a matter of time before the cycle repeats.

Just think..... if Ted Cruz had only just stayed home from Cancun or AOC had gotten to Texas a little earlier, none of this devastation would have occurred.....!

Not likely will it have an affect on the Mac and Cheese cup population.
