I was at a trapping convention in Duluth many years back my dog went everywhere with me then, great dog. I get there and no dogs allowed so he goes in the truck with the windows down a bit and water. I go in to the show and here is a lady with a dog on a leash part of the people putting it on I believe. I reached down to pet it and it went after me I just shook my head and went back to my booth.
More about the people then the dogs that time. LOL The kids I have seen on a leash seem very well behaved Rescues most likely.

This turned into quite the gripe and moan thread! I had no idea there were so many TRAPPERS with such an aversion to animals... if we let them in the store, whats next??? ANIMALS IN THE WOODS?? There are a lot more people severely allergic to nuts than dogs... I've never thought twice about eating nuts in public, nor have I been asked not to. Most people take responsibility for their own allergies. There's nothing "rude" about someone else putting their own dog in their own shopping cart. They probably put it in their own car too! It has absolutely nothing to do with you. If it's germs or allergens you're worried about, I'm sure there are much worse things on a shopping than dog dander. If a dog is leashed and under control, then it doesn't make any difference whether it's on a sidewalk, in a park, on a trail, or in a store. If a store chooses to allow dogs, that's their right. If you don't like it, don't shop there. Freedom of choice is a beautiful thing. I don't have any "need" to take my dog in the store, just like I don't need to take my kids in. I do it for the same reason: because they enjoy it! I think my pup likes Home Depot almost as much as hunting. My kids love it too. Funny how we like to judge other people's behavior based on "need", but judge our own by freedom and choice, eh? Some of you sound like the folks saying we don't "need" guns or trapping...

I just went through the Seattle airport, and you wouldn't believe all the "comfort" dogs walking around with their owners.

I leave any store that allows dogs, other than being walked to a pet wash station. Nothing but people looking for attention. I was in Runnings in Moorhead MN a few weeks ago. A lady brought in a Shetland pony and a Goats. Was pulling a big featherlite trail for a pony and goat, The horse and goat both crapped on the floor. Little round turds rolling around and horse apples. It must be look at me, come pet my animal.

Good one. BTW, the post is meant to be a joke. Not to be taken seriously. I don't care for dogs in stores either unless they are a genuine service dog.

Same here just busting some chops here. Just like chickens it better if they don’t mix with other of their own kind and pass bad things on to yours.

I leave any store that allows dogs, other than being walked to a pet wash station. Nothing but people looking for attention. Or, they could be responsible pet owners. They could be socializing their pet so it doesn’t become a spastic unpredictable nut case around people. Different perspectives and opinions I guess. If I, like you, left every store that allowed dogs except for washing. I couldn’t go to home improvements like Lowe’s, no feed/farm stores, most hardware stores, saw shops, outdoor stores, marine supplies, rigging supply, I couldn’t go to anywhere I enjoy going aside from the grocery. Are you an online shopper? Owl
