Just when do you think the world went upside down and what one thing caused it? Or was there more than one?

like asking which feather broke the camels back.

when teachers started telling kids their politics and then doing it for years and years and years , would be a multitude of events that are really one thing.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

When politicians did not resign when they were caught and it was allowed. I’d say after that they had nothing to lose for being crooked.

During the industrial revolution. Before then, I man could truly live free. Your kids worked with you taught your own kids, you could truly live without government intervention in your life if you wanted. The industrial revolution uprooted the basic way of life that humankind had lived for 1000s of years. Specifically the family dynamics.

Loosegoose, in the days you're talking about, most people never traveled thirty miles from home and the average life expectancy was like 50.

I'm good with that -- at 52 the crap we are dealing with now - I wouldn't care about, and I've been to several other countries on numerous occasions --- 30 miles is plenty far to be from home.

If I'd lived in the past, I'd have been dead at age 59.

I'm happy with the time I live in.

I agree with this. When you take God out of everything you are only left with hate.

The problem is that life became to easy. Hard times make great people. Easy times make losers.

Agree 100 percent, imo that's one of the worst things we let happen, longterm brain washing. That and the loss of the family farm where kids had chores and a job to do on a daily basis. If we sluffed off we'd get a kick in the pants to help remember what our job was.

There are still families where kids have chores. The broken rail that allowed “it” off was/is the broken family.

Easier to brainwash kids that don’t have stability. Who is responsible for that?
