Found this in my yard today not even close to the shoreline the tremor movie comes to mind no clue how it got pushed up like that.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

That’s my lawn down by the lake heaved up just not sure how that came about? It was flat a few days ago.

Was there any rip-rap there that you were aware or unaware of? If your lawn slopes down to waters edge, it's possible that sub water underneath got blocked or hit sub-rock and pushed the ground up. Similar to a ground swell. Just a thought.

nailed it. The lake water table pushes into the soil as the two areas freeze. That cold weather snap last 2 weeks did it. but it could have been Pleistocene Beaver dam or his cousin Pleistocene Mole...cause there is no holes for the gopher to come out

Glad it’s in that spot it has a cut bank that it sharp up and down just no ice near it so that was surprising to see. The bank by the house is more of a tapered angle just wondering what spring will bring after brake up the house is safe not sure about the coop.
