If your lawn slopes down to waters edge, it's possible that sub water underneath got blocked or hit sub-rock and pushed the ground up. Similar to a ground swell. Just a thought. The lake water table pushes into the soil as the two areas freeze. That cold weather snap last 2 weeks did it. but it could have been Pleistocene Beaver dam or his cousin Pleistocene Mole...cause there is no holes for the gopher to come out

The bank by the house is more of a tapered angle just wondering what spring will bring after brake up the house is safe not sure about the coop.
