States lost out when the south didnt win the civil war and folks been losin out ever since. There is a lot more to it sure but that was a big step in the wrong direction.

Change I don't like is different than off the rails. There are dozens of political and social occurrences/changes I don't like that have been bad.

I however think at some point in the next hundred years we'll look back and admit that society wasn't capable of handling social media.

It’s not the use of those things, it’s the absence of consequences for using them incorrectly.

When the 1960 presidential election was stolen from Nixon. He never would have gotten into a land war in Asia and that war led to the 60s upheavals at home, the development of the counterculture left, and the Johnson presidency with the Great Society programs that include the welfare state.

We are seeing the negative consequences--they inherently exist and are pretty obvious.

When one's life depends upon who wins an election or the WH then it is not the rest of the world that is one's problem, just take a look in the mirror. When needing to blame others for everything, personal responsibility is lost.

The population of the entire worlds lives depended on who won this election. Delayed consequences doesn't mean they ain't coming.
