Feels good to process fox glands from start to finish with glands from the foxes you caught and urine collected at home.

Fox gland take time to age...some of the glands in this batch are over 9 years old.

I like them creamy so they work well for spiking urine.

Nice supply Coon Duke. Is that your private stock or do you sell it?

Looks good. Good color too. You can always tell the good clean gland formulas. That tan to brownish color tells me that is good stuff. No feces and fillers from kidneys/livers etc that some like to add to gland products. How much separation do you get after sitting for a few months? That tells me more. smile

There will be an inch or two of liquid that settles to the bottom of the jugs. I do like a good urine component in a fox gland lure.

I’ll sell some this year. Probably tailgate at a few conventions.

Should be be some good product Todd. You do good work with your lures. I have sampled a few over the years so that gland lure should be a home run for you.

We need some younger blood in our industry that is for sure.

Thank you...that means a lot coming from someone who is respected in the industry at the level you are.

One thing about lure making is I enjoy the heck out of it. I guess it is like handloading ammunition...either you love it or hate it. I hate reloading but it might become necessity! I was interested in glands and oils from the day I set my first trap...and it still excites me to this day.

I've always thought working with and succeeding in making a really good gland lure is the pinnacle of feeling like you belong as a lure maker. It is the most rewarding achievement in lure making I think. Good stuff and good job Todd!
