I am on the verge of buying one. I think they would be very useful for covering a lot of ground quickly and quietly.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I personally have never ridden one. I do have a couple friends that do ride them. There are at least two different rim widths on the fat tired bikes. I believe they are 3” and 4”? One friend has used both widths and he liked the 3” one better due to being a little easier to steer on the trails. He says that he didn’t notice a big difference in the floatation between them. He did say if you’re riding in a lot of sand it may be better to have the 4”. He rides more dirt/rock/brush country than sand. The other friend also went with the 3” on the advice of the other. They both also have the electric assist on their newest bikes. They both love the feature. Hope this info helps you out!

I have a rad power bike. BEST deer hunting tool I own. No more soaking with sweat hoofing it to the stands. Great way to check trail cams around standing beans or corn. Buddies I hunt with get jealous when I zip by them at 6 am with no noise and all my hunting gear already on .
Mine is 750 watt and is still considered a bike. Over that and it is deemed a motorized vehicle and can't be used on government land that vehicles are prohibited. LOVE mine . Check out RAD power bikes. 1/3 of the price of a quiet cake. Same components.

At 65 maybe Medicare will pay for it? I need to look into that.

That's amazing jbyrd. I've never heard of 1 used for hunting.

Is it common for them to have a motor?

Some ride them in snow around here, but I haven't noticed if they have motors.

No doubt they are gaining popularity.

I bet they aren't cheap $

I'm pondering looking into 1. I'm not even aware of a place that sells them. Maybe Scheels.

I got the exact same bike as you do Jbyrd. Love mine too. I ended up buying a second battery to extend my range. Darn battery was nearly half the price of the bike!

I also got the luggage rack and have mounted a box on it to carry stuff. I recently bought a motorcycle carrier from harbor freight and made some adjustments on it so I can carry it around behind my pick up.

Not sure of what they call it but there is some sort of material in the RAD bike tires that prevents punctures. If you look on the Specifications they mention it.

I bought amM2S all terrain. I use mine for hunting. I can ride right up to my stand with deer on the plot and not spook them actually happens more than you would think. I’m currently putting a set of adult training wheels on mine after a couple slick muddy road incidents. Mine is also 750 watts and will go 25 mph with my big self on it. I really like the electric assist going up hill it makes peddling really easy. I get about 15 miles of continuous use out of the battery. I was going to build one till I saw the price of the batteries.

If ya find out, let us know. Been contemplating one as well for trapping access... need to determine if they can be used in our county forests.

Trying to get a buddy to get one he has knee issues (he’s fat) but he’s resistant to the idea. Told him he might look like the bear in the circus ran away riding the thing. I might be needing one myself one day but I can still cover some miles if I need to. LOL
