I see several ebike rentals places in the Black Hills so they must be OK there.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Have used the same model jbyrd showed, they are pretty awesome, but also as mentioned, better carry some slime and tubes along as corn stalks and thorns puncture those tires easily.

I don't think they will sell you a non-electric fat tire bike unless you have a man bun, (or you drive a Subaru Outback or Forester).

JOCO I use mine primarily in bean and corn fields. The kenda tires on mine are four years old and never punctured one yet. I get the task of carrying all the guys climber stands thru out the farm as it is long and winding along a river bottom. I am crossing cut corn fields every trip as I use it to check trail cams also.

Are they legal on forest service non motorized roads? Yep..^^^^No^^^^ In Ky they are IF THEY ARE 750 watts and under US forest service consider them as NON-MOTORIZED....

Very few kids today ride anything they have to pedal. Motors on nearly everything including skateboards, Razer scooters, segways. Kids won't be walking in a few years.
