Just got off the phone with my daughter... 6 months pregnant with my grandson. She works in a nearby mall and had to spend the morning hiding in the store office because of a supposed active shooter. It appears now that it was a hoax that some moron called in... But scary stuff nonetheless.
She and I were texting and I told her that we would be shopping for a firearm and a concealed carry bag... I didn't give a what the mall and store policies were concerning firearms on the premises.
Mike I worked at the mall of American for a couple years and that was my attitude, even with a police station in the place and roving patrol’s of police officers a lot of stuff happens there; a lot you never hear of on the news only if your actually there to hear the people talk about it afterwards

My family were from a rural area in north central Pa. My uncle would recall that as a high school kid in the 1940’s, the bus driver would have his 99 Savage with him in the bus during deer season. One morning during buck season, the bus driver shot a fork horn out of the driver’s window. Several of the older boys went out with driver, and helped him drag it back and pull it into the stairwell of the bus. When they got to the school, they drug it down to a patch of woods and skinned and gutted it.
Later in the week, boys in the shop class butchered the deer, and the girls in the home economics learned to cook venison and it was served up in the cafeteria.
I was a little skeptical of the story, until I asked my mother about it. She was a year younger than my uncle and clearly remembered a deer being butchered and cooked at school. Today, the tale of a bus driver shooting out of the bus window would be a big story on CNN. Times sure changed in the last 75 years. That's awesome !!

Yeah but most disagreements were settled after school on the playground with just what God gave ya. Totally agree, i settled a few that way myself. No denying the facts though, school shootings are nothing new. I graduated in 1988, the information age to me was 3 TV stations and the radio.
