I like to get mine right where if I close my eyes and mount the gun I should be looking right through the scope when I open my eyes. That's usually as low as the scope can go and I have to add some cheek pad. I always chuckle when someone brings out the see through rings because they put a 5-11 power on their brush gun.

I guess I never noticed that, I never had trouble finding the fox or coyote in the scope, Eve at a full run

Many of the guys I used to hunt with used Remington's and Browning BARs with Williams Guide sights on them.

Bruce T OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 41,865 Northern Maine	Lol......Deer yards are all cut down and gone.Coyotes are slaughtering the deer herd.No Sunday hunting.Fisher exclusion boxes so we can't catch a lynx which we should be able to trap.Covered rat floats now in order to spring muskrat trap.......Maine is not what it used to be. Nevada bound
