It was a good time the kids did well they caught more then I ever imagined one even caught a nice bobcat. Being kids they liked the catching part more then the put up part. LOL Setting the traps was tough on some even with setters. It was a short time teaching kids a lot of information. Already plans to do it again next year.

If you ever get the chance to do a class for kids do it you won’t regret it.

Are you doing the 4H ethics class? I have been doing it since it started. Help with the trapping end then work with all the kids in my fur shop. Had 2 kids on friday putting up coon,coyote and fox.

Yep younger crowd mostly my first year doing this ended up with several that might get into it more and had others interested that did well also.

My class was way younger oldest kid was 11. Last year youngest kid was 12. This class has really stacked up the coons and skunks. They also have caught yotes, fox and beaver. All but 2 kids are in the same class at school and the teacher has given up teaching for the first 15 minutes so kids can talk about what they caught the night before. They are very competitive but the most competitive one is a young lady. You would be proud of her Lawdog she caught 10 skunks.

Good to hear they are doing so well she sounds like student I’d like in my class.
