Just watching the promo show Hunting with HECS. Does anyone here on Trapperman use a HECS suit? Anybody have any comments or opinions on this product. All sorts of gimmicks and products out there. I am sure some help, and I am just as sure some just help the smooth talking promo man get rich !

Just looked it up quote:
It features an electrically conductive carbon grid woven into the polyester base cloth. What this does is it blocks your body’s electrical radiation and allows you to get closer to animals.

I've walked up on all kinds of game in flannel and jeans, never needed anything techy. And as you might guess, I don't wash clothes in any of those new, fangled, fancy detergents either.

The guy on “extinct or alive “ uses it and he’s a scientist sooooo wink There have been a few times I have had deer and elk closer than five feet from me with just regular clean camouflage clothing . I don’t see any electro magnetic jamming gear for me in the future. Although the camouflage the “Predator “ had when he was stalking Arny and his crew was kinda neat. Bet it was real spendy though smirk

I stood and looked the guy who invented this in the eye and asked the question, "How do animals perceive this electrical radiation?"

Animals like humans have five senses, and for each of these five senses, there is an organ which perceives these senses, and also for each of these senses this organ has a portion of the brain dedicated to interpreting these senses. So if they can perceive electrical radiation, which sense do they perceive it with, and which part of the brain is dedicated to interpreting it?

He had no answer for this. That's why I call BS on the whole thing.

Apparently the only mammal on the planet that can't detect these invisible electric fields is the human. We also just happen to be the only mammal on the planet that has money. I'll keep mine thanks.

My Sons have tried all the stuff and came to the conclusion that the best tool is using the wind to your advantage.

I have a secret bit of advice for hunters looking for an inside tip:
Stay downwind, and don't move when the animal is looking at you. Wearing slightly darker colored clothing than your surroundings helps a lot a lot too. And it doesn't have to be some high priced name brand camo either; in fact it doesn't even have to be camo.
Save your money and hunt like a hunter.

Ive had more deer than I can count spot me up in a climbing stand but with my ability to stay super still and slow my breathing I never spook them. I wear bottom dollar camo since I am a father of 3 on a modest budget. Don’t be fooled by this garbage. People have hunted for generations without it and will continue to do so.

Scent And camouflage products Don’t help very much
Staying down wind from entry to hunting area makes a big difference
Iv kill a lot of deer wearing black pants and brown or green shirt
Iv had great luck with putting my clothes in a scent free bag with baking soda
I do wear camo now tho, comfort and warmth mostly
The other stuff said above is just a gimmick to get our money
I will add that I do think the big pattern , tree limbs and leaves could help break your outline up

I googled animals and electric magnetic field. Quite interesting information but I don't see myself getting one of those suits as I don't think the magnetic field comes into play in hunting situations.

Electric camo will surely emit CO2, thus speed up Global Climate Warming Change. We need to act now! We only have 8 minutes left.

if I was going to spend big money on hunting clothing I would by merino wool long johns

but then I don't eat great big horns so I don't need all that extra mumbo jumbo to shoot meat

ever wonder how all that stuff works when the wearer has 2 of those stinky things hanging from his rear view mirror and shaves each morning with shaving cream. I can smell when my son has shaved from across the house.

Gimmicks. They’re good at catching outdoorsmen.
