I have the larger size. About the size of normal Chanellocks.

Great tool , bit spendy but real nice.

Agreed. And here's my opinion based on my experience using them...

I have two pair of the 10" pump pliers. They bite harder than Channel-Lock brand... Good for snugging up threaded rigid conduit or rain-tight fittings on EMT. Plus they seem to be about half the weight of Channel-Locks... which makes a difference if you carry them in a tool belt or in your back pocket.

They're German made. I prefer American made, but the Germans make good stuff. They're expensive but still reasonable.

I don't know if it's the cheapest , but a got a decent deal on them at Sears. Internet is probably cheaper , but at Sears I was able to handle them before I spent my money. Just sayin......

I use some knipex insulated tools along with pump and wrench pliers at work. Great tools. Spendy but well worth the money.
