I miss every dog I have ever had wasn’t a bad one in the bunch

I have thought about this a lot. I think as hard as it is on us to lose a dog, we still are able to work through the heartbreak. Just maybe, the dog couldnt survive without us because of their unconditional love of their owners. Just my opinion.

k snow...Im going through the very same thing right now with my chocolate lab. He had a seizure last night. He is doing OK today but his time is very limited. Ken

One day...it will hit you...the signs will be obvious...that it’s time. Hold their head and talk to them.... and bring a couple hanky’s. Did it 9 months ago....it’s a suck day for sure

Same here. Our 6 year old Golden has some seizure issues. Medicine helps but not fully. She's very small for a Golden at 50# and other people think she's a puppy yet. She acts like it and loves to play and snuggle. All we can do is give her the best life possible.

I had a lab w/renal failure from Lyme Disease and the vet said "let's treat the dog and not the symptoms" He was great for about 3 months and one morning he did not jump up with the other lab to go out he just looked at me. I knew it was time, they will let you know. Sorry about your buddy.

Thanks for all the support guys. I don't ridicule anyone for crying over a dog. Most of the time they are more loyal and honest than people ever will be. I cried over the dog I had as a kid and cried over our rescue.

The ol timers taught us to put an animal down when you can see it is sufferin. It's not fun but we owe them that
