I've got the same TimberKing machine as CT Trapperman. Mine is a bit older, only 18 HP. It works plenty good for me.
Before I bought it I had a huge spreadsheet comparing everything on the market. I had pretty much decided upon the EZ Boardwalk. Then the 1220 TimberKing showed up locally on Craigslist.
It was a slightly "better fit" machine for less money, and immediate delivery. I couldn't resist.

I run an old Timber King ( 1997) B-20, with a 27 hp on the blade and a 6 hp on the hydraulics. Has had a number of upgrades and upkeep. Used as a hobby until the windstorms of the last two years. Now I have enough cherry, spalled hackberry, white pine, oak, walnut, cedar, mulberry, and others to last me decades. Opening up a log is like a Christmas present, as you don't know just what is inside. I do some custom sawing to help pay for itself, but I sharpen and set all my own blades.

Golfball. Building it myself I should have it running for around 2500 bucks. Thats with automatic feed and head adjustment. No cranking to raise and lower the saw head or pushing it through the wood. I will use ATV winches and a couple of frequency controllers for the speed and direction they run in. The engine is a V twin Predator with 24 HP but I am adding a separate 100 amp alternator to be able to run all the electric gibbons on it. It will have a 25 foot bed and cut up to 45 inch diameter logs. Eventually I'll put some wheels on it to make it mobile ( towable on the road ) but for now will be fixed in place on a patch I cleared for it.
