You really cannot find any 1000 rounds for sale for much cheaper than 1000 bucks unless it is steel case, maybe a couple of 20 round boxes...... Who has bought it? The people who have bought it....they wanted some and realize that it is not going to be available for less very soon unless you come across a very rare good deal.

Most I've ever paid is $.45/round. Most was under $.40/rd. (55gr HP)

Only stupid people are paying that. I don't know any of them. I'm still able to find bullets/powder/primers to roll my own for about $0.33/rd. And mine are much better for taking down game than the FMJ crap being sold at premium prices!

That is the current 'going rate' at the local gun store. Ridiculous if you ask me.

It could have been bought for Forty Cents a round, a couple years ago, and it was plentiful EVERYWHERE.

The time to buy is 'Between Elections". whistle

You think a buck a round is bad! Wait two years and see what they cost.

Keeping ammo in your firearms is not stupid....no ammo = expensive club.

My range sells 5.56 fmj 20 round boxes for $14.50 but I cannot buy a bunch and walk out the door....for range use only...buy, shoot a few and stock what's left.

It has gotten crazy, just 7 months ago I paid .39 cent for fmj and .49 cents for green tip and that was high at that time. I just missed this price gouge by a month or two.

Once upon a time, not long ago, I was told I was stupid to reload .223 because they were so cheap. Well, I don't regret buying the dies, powder and primers today!

I paid $1.20 here just recently. I'm a late bloomer on the AR bandwagon and this is the price I pay. Bought my first AR just days ago.

Get some bullets, powder and primers asap. You can always find a press and buy or borrow dies to load your own. Brass is still fairly cheap.

I heard today that a lot of people are getting nervous and dumping all they have stockpiled because Joe is going to send Beto after your stuff. We will see how it goes but that is the word going round. LLL

I had 10 boxes of 5.56 for sale about a week ago ...
I listed it with some other ammo in a classified section on another forum ..
I asked .50. / round and it sold out in 5 minutes, with 3 or 4 other buyers saying they would take it ...

I was at Scheels here today and saw the same 90gr FMJ .224 bullets. What the heck are those good for?

My BIL just gave me 250 rounds of .223. 200 steel case, the rest brass. Was a thank you for a nice doe. Plus he paid for the processing of the doe.
