I heard sandhill cranes this Morning.

Robins were here2 weeks ago already.
Even saw a few groundhogs hit on the road

I was on the ice yesterday, still about 13" in SE Wisconsin and it will be going fast with the future temps and rain coming- the Sandhills were bugling all day, sure sign that spring is around the corner.

Snows went over yesterday it’s about here and almost turkey time again.

It's looking good for sure! I'm about a third of the way north in Alberta...250 mi. N of the U.S. border... and saw my first Canada's of the year. . this morning. They were at a slough where its common to see geese nesting. And the long range forecast says no below zero daytime temps for this month!

Turkey vultures and Canadian geese showed up in huge numbers here this week.

Vultures and geese noted here in the last 4-5 days flying over and getting back into the swing of things once again.

White fronted geese are showing up here. Rivers open and most of the snow is gone. Was able to clean up all the dogs poop that burned it’s way through the snow cover last couple months.
