I love my cpap. I used to be tired and take naps almost daily. I would wake up thirsty in the middle of the night, but what scared me the most was getting up to urinate 2-3 times a night at 35 years old. I thought I may have diabetes as I am overweight too. Doctor said sleep apnea was the cause after a sleep study. Starving for air while sleeping wakes the brain, brain tries to figure out why its up time to empty bladder. Over time this can contribute to high blood pressure, obesity, and a host of other issues. Now I sleep all night and rarely wake up for any reason. No more peeing at night or waking thirsty. Drastically reduced napping, weight and blood pressure coming down now that I have energy to do things again. Takes some getting used to. I will happily answer any other questions on cpap and sing its praises.

My son went and got tested and they woke him up 10mins into it and masked him. He’s been on it for a month or so and says he feels like he has energy to spare. Considering he is only 29, I’d say yes it must help.

Yes,

they help a lot.

Get a Bi-pap machine if you can, as they have better,
higher air pressure and work more efficiently.

Bi-pap & C-pap rigs Help you stay in REM sleep longer, and keep your
airway open.

I think mine is the only thing keeping me alive.

I'm sure mine saved my life last week when I had
a Angio-Edema allergic reaction and my tongue
swelled up and closed off my airway.

Without the high pressure airflow keeping my airway open
I would have suffocated.

I tried the test s few years ago, machine seemed to be set too high.
The new machines are much better starts at five pounds and goes to twenty when you fall asleep.
I don't fall asleep driving as bad as before, it's supposed to help with blood pressure, I don't think that happened yet, I think it's better to have it

I have used one for years. I absolutely can't fall asleep with out it. Totally took care of the apnea, snoring, and waking up in the middle of the night. But the biggest gain was the acid re-flux that used to happen once or twice every night went away immediately and has never happened again.

I had the test done and was issued a cpap . That was a real life changer. I couldn't stay awake on lunch break and was always tired. Had a couple co workers having the same problem they eventually they went and got tested and both got cpap or bipap . They both said the same thing live changer. I have since been found to be diabetic and between the medication and diet changes lost about 35-40 pounds and no longer use my cpap.

I started using one in December of 2013. I haven't had the common cold since then. Any time I feel a little stuffed up I just turn the humidity up high and by morning I'm good to go. It also helps me fall asleep. Before I started using it I would toss and turn for an hour or two before falling asleep. Now, my body knows when I put on that mask it is time to sleep. I'll be out in less than 10 minutes.

I found it difficult at first to get used to. Stick with it. Once you get used to breathing through the machine, you won't want to sleep without it.

I've had one since 2014. I can't sleep without it anymore. Feels nice to get up and actually feel rested after a night of sleep.

Would not be without it. I have used it for 8 years now. When I went for the sleep test I had trouble falling asleep but when I did 20 minutes later the assistant walked in and said you can go home. We will order you the equipment you need.

I was having medical problems and the small-town hospital threw a sleep apnea test at me. They pasted wires to my scalp and I didn't sleep a wink, but they said I did JUST ENOUGH that they knew I needed a cpap machine so they sold me one just to make more $$$. I tried it but would wake up with the hose wrapped around my neck and I didn't need it anyway. I took it to an auction and it didn't even sell. Maybe someone stole it. Dunno.

I have a Bi-pap. I stop breathing several time a night. Had a lot of problem keeping the mask for leaking air because I move around a lot at night. I changed to a small pillow maybe, 14x14 that helped a lot. I wake up with a dry mouth and have the humidifier.

On a side note: does anyone use the So-clean machine? I do and it is great, pricy but worth every cent.

I pretty much agree with all that has been posted. It was a life changer for me when I got one a few years ago.

Mine automatically titrates so its pretty much the right amount of air for me all of the time. I don't like to sleep without it, especially in hunting and trapping season.
