Anybody familiar with these? Got one in the shop, in bad shape. Trying to get a cost estimate for a friend so he can decide to fix or scrap it. My problem is, I can't find any ID anywhere. No sticker, no number, no plate. It's a 4 cyl diesel, front wheel assist. Guess is it was made 1990-95. Google search of pics it looks like a 9640. Any help to ID would be appreciated. Thanks!

Found it. Inside the cab under the brake valve.

This one is a 10540. Really been through it. Had exhaust rained in, and engine is seized. I believe pistons are rusted, as bottom end looks great. Dissected the oil filter, no metal, but a magnet sweep of the oil pan turned up a woodruff key. Big ??? there. Has a turbo, can be sure all that rain ruined it. I think they were having trouble before it sat still because the fuel injection lines are disconnected. Weather exposure there too. Tallying all that up last night, my professional opinion is going to be to send it to the scrapyard.

Just curious - but how hard are parts to come by? Not bad when your dealer is 20 miles away. Filters can be bought on the internet. I have the 65 hp model and like it.

GRP. Can it be parted out? I suppose it could be. He wants to sell it if I can get it running, or scrap it if not. Any work I do pulling parts off of it, selling the parts and storing the rest would be a labor of love.
