Dave-As far as food shopping goes, do you have an Aldi's near you? My wife and I do most of our food shipping there and it is unbelievable how much we save in comparison to WalMart of any of the other stores. For a long time we did not buy pork there but have found their pork and chicken prices very low with excellent quality. Some other groceries are 1/2 or less than what we'd be paying in some of the grocery stores.
Moosetrot I gave him that advice on the last page. It fell on deaf ears because it is easier to go to walmart. LLL

Get your weekly adds and go through them. I know you go to Walmart to get groceries but it is most likely the highest prices. Buy items that are on sale and buy enough to last you five weeks. The sale cycles are usually that long of a period in retail grocery. Example is bread. When it goes on sale and you eat a loaf a week then buy five loaves. If burger goes on sale buy what you need for five weeks. Look at those tabs(sales flyers) and focus on sale items. Look through all of them and then ask if they will price match other stores. Do not buy things from any end caps or bulk bins because they are a trap. Do not buy National brands but instead buy store brands. If you have an Aldi's to get your fruit ,veggies, eggs, and milk there because they are way cheaper. Plant a garden and can as much as you can. There are several ways to spend less on grub if you are not wanting to pay for convenience. Remember a lot of food stamps and ebt cards are used at Walmart and those folks don't care about higher prices because it is not their money but rather the taxpayer's. I worked retail as a merchandizer for years and it was my job to put higher priced products where it is convenient for you to grab and go. Hope this helps.
As for your 15 dollars an hour it is not going to happen but your 1400.00 will be in the account soon unfortunately. Put it away for a rainy day and don't spend it like it was not your money. After all it is not yours but my grandchildren's. LLL And stop trapping. LLL

Even Stevie Wonder can see that cancelling the XL pipeline was one of the dumbest things Biden could have done. Gas prices go up 20 to 30 cents a week. Now it costs more to ship the product so groceries go up. It is a vicious cycle. This administration is killing the country wake up people call your representatives and (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). This must stop

I've been told that much of the crude oil storage facilities are still filled up--remember when the price of oil went "negative" for a while last year? The shoot up in gas prices has nothing to do with supply, it is because the companies CAN jack up the prices on pretense such as the freeze in TX and/or XL pipeline cancellation (how can that cause immediate increases in gas prices when its not even moving any oil...?). Sleepy Joe and his crew (or is it the crew and Sleepy Joe?) allow the prices to rise because its away to punish some people who don't back them. The big oil companies are becoming "woke" and will be in bed with the blue team (or any political team) because they stay tight with the politicians and can keep doing their thing. Its all smoke and mirrors...

Guys, coonman220 doesn’t want advice. He’s been posting complaints like this forever, yet refuses to do anything about his situation. I don’t feel sorry for him because he hasn’t done anything to solve any of his problems. He just gets on here and whines about it. Yup Coonman, Dave Ramsey. Find him on YouTube and watch some of his videos. Ramsey would be so far over Coons head it aint funny.

Money is just a medium of exchange. Anything that you can produce or provide for yourself will not require you to spend that money. Demonetarize your life as much as is practical. Save your money for taxes.

This is why I trap for meat and grow my own food, have been for years. This season ive put 4 deer, dozens of coons, a few rat, a mink, a fox, and a yote in my freezer, upon a good amount of fish. Excited for spring, many frogs to be gigged, chucks to be snared, and turtles to be trapped

$36/hr starting wage is 70k a year based on a 40 hr work week. Not too shabby. What do the union fees run?
