We are at a bump in the road. I think things will get better. We always go through cycles. Anyone changing the way they invest or still business as usual?

I’m ready to delete this App on my phone and look again in 4 years!! Just last week I lost 10 then gained 8 then lost 10 again!!! I’m keeping business as usual and quit looking. Scary but still have 7-10 years before I retire.

I'm running from the sure bet of the past " S & P 500" and running towards oil stocks, gambling stocks and Cannibus stocks. I'm convinced, people have lost their minds and I plan to get rich on their stupidity.

Time to invest in the green energy sector.

Most of my money is in index funds and I'm up 26% in the last year in those funds. I keep a little play money on the side. When the big dip happened a year ago, I moved my play money into oil, hospitality, and airlines. The shut down has been much longer than I expected but my oil is up 75% since last March. Hospitality is starting to come back up a little. Airlines - not yet but I'm staying where I am. I am expecting air travel to explode as soon as it's announced that Covid is over.

Last April/March stunk but I shifted stuff around and so far I'm pleased with the results.

Poultry did well last time the economy had a down turn, when grain/fuel etc is high poultry is the most efficient meat and remains the cheapest. I own a Pilgrims Pride poultry barn so I stay away from their stock, I like the company but if anything bad happens I don't want to lose my barn and have the stock shoot down. I bought some Tyson at $59 a share and want more but now that it's over $70 it seems a touch high but who knows.

Oil stocks are still a good buy. Crude is at $68 now, but I can see it $100 in the future. Most economists are saying there’ll be robust gains in the GDP as the the US and the world emerge from the CV-19 economy. Inflation may rear its ugly head, but that won’t dampen the market...inflated prices will lead to inflated values in the stock market.

I’m bullish on the market, in spite of all the shortcomings of the current administration.

I'm still a believer in real estate. When others are getting rich in the market they invest in land for enjoyment. When things go bad the land remains but can't be counted on as being easily liquidated but at least to me I know it will still be there. All the while I can enjoy and use my investments. Hunt on it, build on it, lease it, timber it or whatever. I can leverage it, watch it appreciate, get income from it, depreciate improvements, take depletion from natural resources, gain equity and trap without appreciation on it.

I like land also, BUT, it comes with carrying expenses, taxes, insurance , fences, etc.

The two best investments anyone can make right now are getting as fit as possible and learning/practicing skills that will allow you to stay alive in a hard world.

Same business as usual. Invest in myself and keep spending all the money I have making improvements. Not a penny saved yet. Maybe when I’m 60 I’ll start letting the money pile up.

Nothing wrong with not hoarding money, but you should have a slush fund.
Going in debt is far worse than not saving money, unless the debt is for a long term appreciating asset like a mortgage for a home.
In that case it is better than giving away your money to a stranger for rent.

Well if it does get to SHTF. All of those investments are worthless
A friend of mine ask me about investing in gold and silver
I told him, when the SHTF the only use for that gold is to hit someone over the head and take what they have you need

I have one stock that when it hits pay off my wife’s car, buy another vehicle to haul the extra kid around, and pay for concrete/landscaping work. Or im gonna walk away a hundredairre. All depends on the US and covid vaccines.
