I have some wolf and bear skulls I would like to have cleaned. My beetle guy is no longer doing it so I need to find someone new. Do you have any recommendations?

Skulls unlimited has always done a amazing job although I do think they're a bit high. Here's my antelope from last year that they did. [Linked Image]

Bad River Beetles in Philip South Dakota. I've never used him but have a good friend that does. Very good work very reasonable price. He has a facebook page or just google it.

Jurassic Park has posted pictures of some of his work and it looks great. He's still a dweeb of course but his work speaks for itself.

Oh, and he doesn't know the first thing about good music. Just sayin

Do them yourself. It's not hard. Find a method you can do on youTube and follow their lead exactly. I like this guys methods. Do not over cook.

Agree with ebsurveyor.

Not real hard. I have been doing them for about ten years now. Have some friends and family that I do for too, mostly deer skulls. They turn out great, just take your time, don’t boil too hard, if you take that route. The skull will loosen up. I occasionally have to glue the nose pieces back on, but you can’t even tell. Put your skulls in the freezer, and practice on some others until you get the hang of it. Then do your good ones.

I do as whitebone creations does. Love his vids. I don’t boil just a hard simmer. Done deer, lynx, bobcat, yote ,porky, badger etc. Get a electric pressure washer and a electric burner and go to town. Only trouble I’ve had is loosing very small teeth. I’ve remedied that with an outdoor carpet wash down pad. And learned to control my pressure washer better.

PS I’m. Looking for a wolf skull. Pm me if interested.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

Not sure about up there but around here skull cleaning bugs are natural in the wild. I just put out two skulls yesterday. Wire to a tree (so they don't get carried off), lightly cover with some dirt/leaves/grass, come back 2-3 months later and all clean. I originally sent them off, then bought my own beetles, now let nature do it. All the same results and quality. Meat cannot be rotten.
