I bought my dad's almost forty year old cop gun, used it for the shooting part of the MN conceal carry.
Holy cow shooting indoors is too loud!
Used ear plugs, not good enough for 9mm and ar-15, ordered a pair of walker ear muffs[Linked Image]
I think I need glasses both front and rear sights seemed blurry

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Lol, yup it's official target for conceal carry,
I'm going to try stacking full water jugs to see how many a hollow point will go through
Indoor shooting is way too loud, for ear plugs, I'm going to shoot outdoors, and my ear muffs should be here soon

Good shoot. Putting them were you want them is the most important detail

That's great shooting, especially considering you don't even have to hit the paper to pass a MN CC shooting test.. laugh

I could probably do better with red dot, the front and back sights seemed blurry, it took a little time to make sure I had them lined up
Thanks, I was thinking the target would be further away, first five it was point blank range, then they moved it back further

plugs and muffs is the way to go indoors

a friend of mine who is about 10 years older told me the trick is go to the store and try on the readers put the test reading at arms length fingers extended and about 2 inches about front sight distance

then when you go shooting you put the nice crisp front sight in the middle of the blurry target you focus on the front sight and centering it in the burry bullseye.

my shooting glasses are prescription and my correction is nearly all stigmatism

it is ok for the rear sight to be a little out of focus your only looking at the front sight Equal Hight , Equal Light.

and yes it shoots very well.
