Yes, last Aug. I got a 2020 Outback. I like all the safety features on them. Take some getting used to. Not a lot of storage room up front. I did not like the control on the Forster, but they set a little higher making it easier to get in and out, my wife has a hard time getting in and out. Lighting is outstanding. Gas millage is not that good, but I always warm my cars up. Would I get another one, yes but I would look harder at the Forster. Make sure you look at all the options, heated seats (backs) and steering wheel, head light that turn when you go around a corner. Camera up front. The first thing I noticed is I could drive with mud boots on.

Son has had a couple. Timing belts around 70G used to be common but I don't know about current models. They are very capable in crappy weather with decent tires. And they are reliable. Just don't forget the Bernie and Coexist decals. Not sure about other models, but since 2014 all Foresters have timing chains.

A friend of mine has had a few of them, they have one now and swear they are the best! Personally I wouldn’t own one I wouldn't buy one either; just not my style. I haven't owned a car in 30 years. I only drive trucks. But, a friend of mine has a new Subaru and absolutely loves it.

Got over 200000 miles on all 3 of previous ones. '18 has 50k on it an never been back to subaru yet. I'm in woods as much as possible always hunting, trapping, shed hunting, scouting for next adventure and the Suby goes anywhere the truck willl go plus places u can't turn the tk around and for only half as much fuel!!! I run only winter tires year round cause I'm not on hard road half the time. Always changed oil an filter every 5k and can't remember ever having to ad any tween changes.

What kind of gas millage are you getting with your Subaru? Do you have an Outback or Forester?

Subarus rock. They'll go pretty much anywhere you need to go. They have some issues with head gaskets, mostly due to the boxer engine. I have some younger friends that are total Subie gearheads. Head gasket issues can be problematic on some , I've heard that due to the design of some of the engines that one of the cylinders runs a bit colder than the other three , this makes head gaskets go more frequently. Sad thing is due to the boxer design , you have to remove the engine to replace a head gasket , just like when you need to replace a clutch pack you have to remove the engine to replace it as it is easier to remove the engine than to remove the transmission on some models. Will grant you this , hands down best car in snow with the awd . Not including trucks/suv's , but best car. Reliability very good , not as good as Toyota or Honda , but very close. I've been lucky enough to 'hoon' several WRX Sti 's , stock and with mods. Punch the engine out a bit with more boost and they are quick. The tuner market has some nice mods for these cars , my friend has a Legacy that he grafted Brembo brakes from a Cadillac. It stops nice , cheap mod compared to buying Brembo's designed for a Subie with Cadillac brakes from a junkyard for 1/3 the cost. It's kinda cool when you look through the slots on his rims and you see the Cadillac logo clearly on the caliper. Lots of them and tuners here , we even have a Subaru only junkyard a couple of towns away which is a great source for parts.
