Where are the robins? I haven't seen any yet, usually by now the yard is full of them

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

They've been here for almost a month, which is early. Buzzards are here, spring is upon us!

Had a flock come thru here last Monday, they stopped here for a bout a half-day and had a worn feast and ain't seen one since. So they must be on there way north.

They just left here! A lot of them winter here this year. The purple Martins are coming in now. I need to fix their houses and put them up! They should be happy, I don’t have any trees left.

I've had robins on my farm for nearly 2.5 months now. I was surprised to see them in Early January, when they should have been gone. I had a large group (50-60) in my field feeding yesterday before the bad weather started to blow in.

We had over 50 in the yard yesterday, none today. The only thing for them to eat here is the dried fruit on the flowering crab tree. The tree was busy most of the day with anywhere from 3 to 10 in it most of the time. So now we can start the count on 3 snow falls on the robins!

If you don’t see them, its not because they’re all down south. Many of them winter in northern states, its just that they aren’t in your yard. They winter in the woods in flocks. Same with buzzards/turkey vultures. We have several hundred that winter here.

I haven’t seen any robins yet but friends in the area are telling they have in the last week or so. I did see a large flock (dozens, maybe over a hundred) of red-winged blackbirds earlier this week.

Eh...wot?

They're here. The red wings and grackles also showed up in mass yesterday, riding that south wind
