Loved watching his fights with Hearn and Leonard and a bunch of others in that era.
That was the hayday of boxing.

The fight with Leonard occurred while I was in Basic at Ft Jackson. The only evening we had off in the whole eight weeks. The Drills had the fight on in the big day room. That was also the only time we were allowed in the day room. LOL
Hagler was the best.

If my memory serves me right.....I don’t think Hagler was never even knocked down.

He was knocked down once by Juan Roldan in the first round of a bout that Hagler always stated was a slip. It was scored a knockdown though!
Marvelous Marvin Hagler sure was a great fighter and may he rest in piece,

I used to enjoy the heck out of watching the fights back then when there was some real talent. RIP, Marvin Hagler. Thanks for the Video and the memories, Nessie!

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

I prefer that era of classic boxing over today's mma hands down.
