Ok
Then use it and see how you get along with it. That’s what trapping is about, what works for you may not work clear across the country.

It is definitely better to stick with one of the big three urines used in gray fox trapping.
Opossum
Weasel
Muskrat

They will work a set with coyote pee in the backing too.

I use bobcat urine at bobcat sets. It's to hard to get for anything else.

Usually when someone says urine doesnt work for them its because of where they bought the urine. You cant believe everything you read in a trap supply catalog.

How many places you ever heard of with bobcats penned up and collecting pee? I get it from bladders of trapped bobcats. If you find somebody collecting cat pee from caged bobcats dont tell anyone else and get out your big checkbook to buy some.

Lots of fox farms collecting and selling pee. Even then its not all the same.

How about coyotes? The handful of people caging and collecting coyote pee can supply maybe 20% of the coyote "pee" bought every year. There is no telling whats in most of those jugs being shipped out by trap supply companies.

[video:google]https://photos.app.goo.gl/CJ4bsaQBookR2L8MA[/video]. Not sure if I got this to work right but this is a grey rubbing all over bobcat urine on the stick. I had a cat on camera I was trying to get on video.

Ethan animals are not capable of "hate". There are a lot of theories about why animals want to get a smell on their fur. A dog rolling on a dead carp doesnt have a "why". It smells good to the dog and it instinctively rolls in the stench. That fox is doing the same thing. Who knows why. Its very possible the fox doesnt know what animal that pee came from.

Don’t think greys are difficult to catch. Pretty sure someone posted catching one on a honeybun.
I’ve never specifically targeted fox, but seem to catch plenty. Same way with cats. All my sets are for coyotes and catch everything from cats to possums in them.

Ethan,
When you ask if this works or that works there are many, many variables to consider.

For instance, bobcat urine probably wont entice a grey fox into a cubby, but it will interest a grey fox enough to stick his nose to it at a dirthole or flat set.

If you are looking for that super lure, bait, urine, trap, or set to make your dream catches, I can save you some time.....the super item does not exist.

Successful trapping is a combination of techniques, equipment, lures, baits, sets, critter populations, motivation, desire, hard work, etc that varies by what part of this continent your trapping in.

You have the interest in trapping.....so next season....just go do it!!!!

I totally disagree
Our dogs HATE coyotes foxes and cats and will fight them to the death.

They will even display aggession towards the hides of these animals Im the shed

I firmly believe animal species are capable of the equivalent of hate towards each other.

We will bring you a pint of fresh red fox urine straight from the fox when we bring your traps down to you in a few days.
We take care of a guys red foxes once in a while during season and he pays us in urine for feeding them.we have a couple gallons of it and we're happy to share some with you

Its works the same way bobcat urine works

Urine is basically a curiosity attractor that most all animals respond to. Use it sparingly where deer are attracted to the salt content as they will paw and lick it. Which urine matters little except, for example, when targeting a particular species in that specie's mating season. Human urine has been successfully used for coyote (not by me). When I trapped grey fox, coyote, and bobcats in Arizona years back I mostly used red fox urine. There were no red fox in that part of AZ.

Properly collecting and handling urine is a skill. I suggest save bladder urine and/or be careful where you buy.
