m still in the dark about this.....we know where deb haalands position is on trapping........would a ban on publc lands include corps of engineers ground...or does the dept of defense overrule her??

I think it would. Every other fed land decision sure effected corps ground. That makes the state and corps ground yote breeding factories here.

Don't know for sure foxkidd. I do know that federal wildlife areas by me, do not allow trapping. You can hunt, hike, camp, run a meth lab or still, but you can't trap. Some of that ground has corp levys on it.

What is her present position on trapping. Does anyone have a source? I would like to see it.
Much, if not most of the land that Native Alaskans trap on is Federal land. I can't imagine her having a current proposal that would eliminate them from one of the few income resources they have (other than government assistance).

I expect it's on her list of things to do but I predict that she was brought in to be the point person/fall person for banning fossil fuel drilling and exploration on federal lands. I doubt trapping and other uses are at the top of the list.

If they don't it'll be a lot harder to ever get it overturned.
