I need to trap a couple of badgers but I’m concerned about staking and them digging up my stakes trap and all.I’m using 550s and earth anchors would it be better to use drags or cable off to the trees.

Long chain them.. one thing you need to realize they don't dig off a slack chain.

I've caught a lot in coyote sets with 12" of chain with no worries and they're diggers not pullers.

I've caught them with 10' chain on a grapple, they never got the grapple out of the ground..
