Another leak today in my cheap Amazon hip boots. Think I'm going to take the leap and get some chest waders. Any recommendations?

I buy what Walmart has cost hundred or so, I do not buy expensive ones because they will all leak if you do much beaver trapping. Am going to buy 2 pair tomorrow because I like to have spare in the truck in case I get a hole and dont like working instead the water with it my waders. It is amazing how much slower a guy gets with cold water in waders, not bad if it is the last set of the day but it sucks when you have 7 hours to go.

If you have a Cabela's CC, save the Cabela's bucks and then buy them on sale. I purchased 2 pair this fall for very little out of pocket.

I can get 2/3 years out of the Cabela waders. Switch out each pair every other day and put on boot dryer. I wear the waders 4 months straight during trapping season.

Doesn't matter what you get, I always out a beaver staub through a new pair within a week.

it only hurts once to buy gear that'll last for a decade or more
don't forget to have them add cargo pockets on the hips and Kevlar atop a thigh (for setting traps on) as well as a second chest pouch!

Cabelas dry plus for me. lightweight and deflect beaver stubs better than the rest. And can wear them fishing or doing beaver work in the summer and don't sweat to death. Yet lighter than a pair of jeans so they don't wear you out.
