Well if any of y'all have been following my soap opera ordeal with a former friend it just got real. Law enforcement showed up in my driveway. It seems my former friend has availed himself of the internet and phone and found a reportable offense in a business paperwork error on my part. I received a warning not a citation.

But as the late Paul Harvey was fond of saying the rest of the story is the interesting part. While I initially suspected it was confirmed when the officer asked if I knew who might have called and why. So I gave him the ten year friendship, officers in the same associations, regulation disagreement followed by political and my non endorsement of his run for office.

Turns out my former friend is hated by that Dept as I learned the full details of just why my former friend did tens years in prison. I always assumed it was just a theft charge related to his brothers crimes. My former friend was a lawyer at the time.

Well there was that but the primary charges were conspiracy to commit murder, two counts. Of game wardens, no less.

Tomorrow night is our regularly scheduled club meeting and I may need to have the Sheriff send a deputy for security.

Probably will but it's interesting learning just what he's capable of. He doesn't know just what I'm capable of. I refuse to be baited into something stupid and don't want any conflict but I'll be watching my back for the foreseeable future.

To me, conspiracy to commit means that he talked about it, and possibly tried to find someone to do his dirty work, but he doesn’t have the balls to do it.

When you’re dealing with crazy people you need to be ready to be just as crazy or crazier than they are.

Like said before, you don’t need to provoke him but I wouldn’t worry to much.

I'd see if a deputy, whom you just spoke with, would show up at the meeting, even plain clothes, and speak to the group, asking professionally, for the group to dismiss what the hateful dipstick says, based on his "criminal past", which shows "poor character and judgement".
Just "pack" since dipstick probably is packing.

My only advice at this point is to be weary of some of the advice being offered here.

Life is dangerous, enjoy it.
