Unfamiliar with what this was about but, all wildlife agencies better refute the nonsense from animal rights groups or they will eventually be out of a job.

There were many emails and letters. Dan Gates, president of the state association did a good job as he continues to do, citing the trappers have made every concession in the past 20 years while organizations such as HSUS, PETA, defenders, ect. are never happy with compromise wanting full ban. The opinion of all but one commissioner was similar, citing that Colorado trapping was already very heavily regulated and that cpw has done its job enforcing current laws.
