I bought some to put on some 1 1/2s and can't figure out how to keep them round when I close them on the trap. I can't seem to get enough leverage with pliers due to them being so strong. Tried it with a vice going very slow and careful but one it takes a long time to do and two I never could get it nice and round like on the MB550s. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I have 47 left to do and am considering the system on some other traps. Side note: For what ever reason I just can't get the hang of setting the NO B S 1 1/2s for the life of me but with the one I did get installed it works flawlessly and I now have a night latch. Awesome trap by the way,

Always use a big vice here. Always crimped mine down to limit the movement of the dog eye. This will cause pan creep.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

Don't worry about getting them perfectly round. Squeeze in the vice till slop goes away. Then wiggle back and forth to make sure it doesn't bind. Your just taking the slack out of it
