There is nothing wrong with using your brain to think through different perceptions and points of view.

We need more of that type of thinking.

I think that different perceptions, particularly of abstract concepts, is oftentimes the source of original thought.

Most new ideas come from looking at things, or other ideas differently

SJA, you probably have enjoyed Escher's work in dimension and perception. I have.

Images perceived in some things, such as the dragon in the clouds, is one thing...or good ideas springing from thinking outside the box of inventions, etc...the line is crossed and the agenda surfaces when playing with images or deciphering colour tone is attempted to weave into young minds of gender "confusion" , ideology of socialism, etc. It is enmeshed in many schools and needs to be seen beneath the surface, just as a foothold is buried just beneath the sand....

I've spent hours staring into and being part of Eschers work. The unique way of percieving an image of his has always fascinated me

Yes Sharon I have. Try looking at any of Escher's or others' work while listening to different types of music while viewing them. Examples like Flamenco, Classical, Hard Rock, Metal, anything you like. You will find that it adds an additional visual and audio "perspective" to them. It can inspire, calm, excite, sadden, exhilarate, etc. various emotions and thought processes. This particular picture I like listening to Al Marconi's "Jacana" :-)

Just curious,,when you first saw that, what did you see?Black birds flying left, or white birds flying right?I think a lot has to do with culture. We read left to right,,so our eyes are trained to look left first.Other cultures are opposite. What is your opinion Sharon?

Heavy stuff. The woman is looking straight on, the way the hair lays and the lock of hair back of the neck tells the truth.
