First time I ever saw plans for this ..

It is a Pill Box organizer for people who have to take a lot of different pills. Instead of just tossing all the medicine bottles into a basket, they go into this box that would have the bottles neatly organized. Is this something that might sell ???

I think there would be a market for it. Making it childproof would be good too.

If somebody is popping that many meds, there may not be
an organizer big enough. Add a couple multi-vitamins and youd
need snuff can size per day...
That being said...yes it'll sell for folks without arthritis that dont mind
handling pill bottles everyday. Plus, it's purdy.

About as close as I could find for a childproof lock, that would fit a box that size, would be a small half mortise box lock ; with the old fashioned skeleton key.

Unfortunately a lot of folks could fill that with prescription meds...big pharma is a thing.

Meds come in a huge variety of sized bottles often different from one refill to the next. The box is ok but I wouldn't pigeon hole it to just hold meds. It would sell faster/better as a universal box for anything you want to put in it.

Would not have put a dent in my dads meds there towards the end, he had 3 shoe boxes full, one for morning, afternoon and evening, and they were big show boxes to, like you would get for work boots

By the time you're on that many meds someone is organizing them into weekly morning and evening dispensers or you're relying on bubble packs. I can't imagine anyone having a chest of meds beside their recliner to dig through a couple times a day. A storage lock box on the other hand might be wise in todays drug climate.
