So they'll wear cornmeal.... Tough bite with the wind out of the East, but caught enough to get the grease hot.

I enjoy eating crappie, or "Specs" as I grew up calling them. The lake I grew up on was an excellent crappie hole.....for Black Crappie. We have very few areas in Michigan where White Crappie are found. I have landed exactly one White in my entire life. Are the as good to eat as the Black Crappie?

Just happy to be here.

Good mess of white perch... they up in the creeks right now ? These were caught at Toadsuck Lock & Dam. I expect they are about to make their run. Love when they get blocked by the dam on their run and mill around for a few days before heading downstream to spawn. Can really catch a bunch if you catch the main run. Of course being Corp controlled your at the mercy of the lock controllers. They can drop the water and cut of the bite quicker than Jtrap can hum Dueling Banjos.

Nice my 8 and 10 year old boys are doing their best to get me to take time out and take them. take the time , mine turns 18 very soon , I took a lot of time but wish I had had more. besides maybe busting a prop on a rock, I don't know if any one ever regretted taking their boys fishing more.

My friend brought me a 3# 1 oz., 19 inch walleye yesterday... I filleted it and had it for supper last evening.... It was yummy.
