Are the new 10-22 as good as the older ones ? Been thinking I should get one and wasn't sure if I should go new or used
Thanks rags

One thing about a 10-22 it can be almost anything you want it to be. The last ones I made from scratch. Only thing Ruger on them was the mag, box trigger and sometimes the barrel. All shoot like a dream.
I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

Have had 2 early model I got as a Christmas present in 1973, I put thousands of rounds through it, in the 90’s my 2 boys put thousands more rounds through it. Should have been wore out but it still fired every time and hit what you aimed at. It’s kind of rough looking. Santa brought me a new one this past Christmas it shoots the same. Trigger might be a little better. But what did you expect it’s a Ruger.

A buddy bought a new one last summer. Thing was a jamming son of a gun!!, Was good with old time rounds like stingers and yellow jackets but horrible with the cheap stuff.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

Bought my wife the takedown, put a red dot on it and turned her loose on the knockdown range. I swear you can’t miss with that thing. Sturdy work horse, very customizable.

The newer trigger assemblies are cheaper with alot of plastic. Easier to get a drop in unit as opposed to having one done....for those of us who don't like stock, super hard, triggers.
Other than that, both my old 1022 and newer 1022 shoot real well.
